Description

Young Mia is totally in love with cars and spends every free minute tinkering with her mother’s old VW Beetle. Her big dream is to take part in the Paris-Dakar Rally someday.
Mia is just 20 years old. The agile girl loves challenge and is unstoppable when something caughts her interest. One day she meets the exotic driving instructor Sherin, who takes her to secret car races outside the city. Mia gets to know a hip community full of colourful characters. The undisputed star of the racing scene is Cosmo, a womaniser who is used to getting everything and everyone he wants. He can’t understand that the new girl resists his advances. Despite their duels of words, Cosmo and Mia secretly enjoy each other – something they won’t admit to their friends or even to themselves. Sherin, Liane and Britt decide to knock Cosmo off the throne at the upcoming Airport Race, the event that determines the best rider on the scene every year. Mia is torn between her friendship with the girls and her feelings for Cosmo. But Mia also learns that a talent scout will visit the airport race to discover talent for a new junior team – for the Paris-Dakar Rally, of all things. Mia’s dream is within reach. Cosmo, too, wants the victory to further his own career. Unfortunately, there can only be one winner in the race…
“Felicitas Woll carries the film. Her performance is witty and she plays well with the charming Sebastian Ströbel.” – Moviewolf.de
“Director Jakob Schäuffelen has already proven his flair for unusual couples, for the successful TV series Edel & Starck he created one of the most explosive duos on German television. Now the eternal conflict between the sexes takes place against the backdrop of the male domain of race driving, of all things.” – Filmreporter.de
“Jakob Schäuffelen has taken up the recipe for success of his US role models and made a loud, fast, simply knitted speedster.” – Schnitt.de
